Impression on Our Hearts

The following verse is in reference to Jesus Christ walking alongside Cleopas and friend on their way to Emmaus:

And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures (Luke 24:32)?

The above verse is dedicated to the memory of a dear friend, Kent Jackson, who "finished the race" yesterday. I believe God brought Kent into many lives to cause our hearts to burn within as he talked with us by the way. May you rest in peace--Ernest K. Jackson.

Eyes Opened to Jesus

"And their (Cleopas and friend) eyes were opened, and they knew him; (Jesus) and he (Jesus) vanished out of their sight" (Luke 24:31).

Blessing and Giving Bread

30) And it came to pass, as he (Jesus) sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them (Luke 24:30).

Scriptures Concerning Jesus

"And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself" (Jesus) (Luke 24:27).

Live By Every Word of God

And Jesus answered him (Satan), saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God (Luke 4:4).

Personal note: I am going to try a different approach on the blog. Each day I am going to enter a Bible verse as an entry and later in the week combine the entries for one message.

Saved? Saved from what? Saved from eternal life in hell!

Call Upon the Lord

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee (Psalms 86:5)
