Words to Keep from Becoming Toasted in Hell

This morning I met a person who I'll nickname "Toast" because of tidbits of social conversation that took place around us. I had just described myself as a "man of faith" to someone in a conversation when Toast jumped in and said that he has no faith, in short, because of all the bad that goes on in the world. Toast was wondering how I could have faith. I told Toast that I did not say it was easy and referred him to the Bible to build his faith.

If we look at Toast's scenario of bad in the world from the standpoint of the question "Why do bad things happen to good people?", we must ask why did the bad happen to Jesus Who was a good person? Clearly, from the Bible, God had a purpose for Jesus to save the world. Through faith, we have to believe the entire story that God sent Jesus to save the world from sins so those who believe will not spend eternal life in hell. Instead, believers will have eternal life in heaven away from all the bad in the world. Eternal life in heaven is guaranteed for sincerely believing in Jesus' life story. Along with believing in Jesus, relationship -building with Him takes place through the Word of God! Please turn to the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John for Jesus' magnificent life story!

We have to spend time with God in His Word to become more and more like Jesus and to discover the will God has for each of us. In so doing, we are going to discover that living a Christian life is not easy. We are going to be confronted with Satan's tactics along the way until Jesus returns to keep us from becoming 'toasted' in hell. Amen! Toast is certainly a likeable person, but I do not want him or anyone else to become toast!

God Wants You (to find His Word)!

God temporarily turned my attention away from writing PAT in order to deal with me on a personal level. Up until July 20, 2011, God's purpose had been fulfilled through the blog. Now, God has lead me back to writing the blog because He definitely wants His Words out in the world for life and health to those who find them (Proverbs 4:22). I hope you are one who God has lead to find His Word through PAT for the life and health it offers!

God's Purpose Fulfilled

God has had me to ponder my path which has left His purpose fulfilled through this blog, PAT, and my ways established in learning His Word to share in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs down the path. The Lord's will for me revolves around Colossians 3:16.

I hope you are one who the Lord has touched in some way through the words written in PAT. I also hope you keep God first in your life and you continue on your journey through the entire Bible. God Bless You!

A Personal Thank You and Praise to God

Departure Turns Out to be My Father's Business

While I was 'Headin' East', there was a change in plans where Boise, Idaho was as far east as I traveled. On my return trip to the Northwest, I met a lady named Delilah who asked me if I had gone to Boise on business. At the time, I told her 'no', but tonight while at home, Delilah's question came to my mind while I was spending time with the Lord. This resurfacing of the question made me look at it in a different light. The answer turns out to be 'yes'. "Yes, I was on a business trip to Boise." Like Jesus, I was about my Father's business. Through the teaching of the Holy Spirit, I sorted through the business at hand with pen and paper to find a lesson on forgiveness.

Maybe forgiveness is the answer to your current circumstances. Matthew 18:21,22 says, "Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven."

My temporary departure from the Northwest was all about my Father's business! Amen!
