We must guard our hearts and let love flow from them. If our guard is let down, we are opening ourselves up to a hardened heart which can lead to breaking the commandments as said by Jesus,
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts,
false witness, blasemphies:

A way to keep your heart warm is by keeping a psalm in it! Here's a portion of Psalm 95 for you:
7) For he is our God: and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.
