Love and Despise Not

We are not justified by God when we judge and despise others. As shown in Luke 18:9-12, 14, the Pharisee thought of himself as righteous although he despised others. The Pharisee prayed and thanked God that he was not as other men. The examples he named were extortioners, unjust men, adulters and a publican who was in the temple praying at the same time. Verse 14 shows that he was not justified by God and he was humbled. God wants us to love our brothers and sisters and not to judge and despise them.
